In Fort Myers, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Florida, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–4 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Duke Farms at (239) 410-8888; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, dukefarmswfl.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 5.0 out of 5 from 19 reviews, which is a strong result for a tree nursery in Fort Myers and suggests consistent service.
Fort Myers is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Fort Myers is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Duke’s Farm! We purchased five Japanese Blueberry trees and couldn’t be happier with both the trees and the service we received. Reuben was extremely accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process, and Wanda went above and beyond, driving us around their incredible 40-acre nursery until we found exactly what we were looking for. We were able to hand-pick each of our five trees, and they were all beautiful, healthy specimens. The selection, quality, and personal attention were outstanding. It’s refreshing to work with people who genuinely care about making sure you leave happy with your purchase. We’ll absolutely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Duke’s Farm to anyone looking for quality trees and exceptional service. Five stars all around!
